Check-in and check-out are generally as stated above. If you
anticipate a late arrival, Cabin assignments and check-in procedures
will be posted on the bulletin board just outside the office. You
may also get assistance in the dining room until 9:00 P.M., or call
us at 1.800.352.9923 or 1.807.226.5616 Many of our guests prefer to
pay their bill the evening before their departure to save time.
Simply notify us if this is your desire, so that we may have your
bill prepared. If you plan to fish the day of departure, please be
sure to check-out of your cabin before going fishing. Early
check-outs will be charged for full time reserved.
Re-Book
To ensure you reserve your
preferred dates and cabin(s) for your following year's vacation, we
recommend re-booking at check-out.
Office Hours: 7:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
Our office is open the above hours every day. For after hours
assistance, you may check the dining room until 9:00 P.M., or call
us at 1.800.352.9923 or 1.807.226.5616.
For your convenience we have available for purchase: fishing
licenses, a full assortment of tackle, rain gear, soft drinks,
snacks, and resort merchandise including: hats, sweatshirts,
t-shirts, etc. Complimentary ice is available 24 hours a day and is
located outside on the lake side of the office.
Deposit Policy
A deposit
of $350 U.S. per person or 25% of package, whichever is greater,
is required within 14 days to confirm your reservation. Deposits are refunded with 60 days notice. With less than 60 days
notice, deposits will be credited toward future stay. Early
check-outs will be charged for full time reserved. Changes made to
original reservation while at the resort may result in additional
charges. All rates are subject to Federal & Provincial sales tax and
do not include any gratuities.
Gratuities
We have posted gratuity guidelines in your cabin. Gratuities are
discretionary and are certainly appreciated. Gratuities may be given
directly to your guide, or left at the office when you check-out. We
request that you leave wait and cabin staff gratuities at our office
upon check-out.
Pet Policy
Your pets are most certainly welcome at the Lodge. We ask that you
please keep them leashed while at the resort for their safety. And,
be sure to bring a current rabies vaccination certificate with you
for the border crossing.
Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms Regulations
The legal drinking age in Ontario is 19 years old. You are allowed
one 40 oz. bottle of liquor or one case of beer per person. You are
allowed one carton of cigarettes per person. Hand guns are not
allowed in Ontario.
In-Season Fish Limits
Clothing
We recommend you bring warm clothes such as an insulated jacket,
fleece jacket, wind resistant shell, hat, gloves,
long pants, sweatshirt, etc. for early and late season fishing. And,
always bring your rain gear and sunscreen. Mid-June to late August,
short-sleeved shirts, shorts, and swim wear are always appropriate.
Guest Laundry
We have a coin operated laundry, with washer and
dryer, on site for your convenience.
Fishing Gear
We know that you have your favorite lures and gear and encourage you
to bring them, however we have a full complement of tackle onsite
which is reasonably priced. Our guides will know the "hot-bait" of
the moment and will be happy to recommend what to use. For our
American Plan guests, we have available for your use at no extra
charge: minnow buckets, live bait, landing nets, rods and reels,
life jackets and equipment storage lockers. See our
Fishing Page for
more specific information about species and recommended tackle.
Identification - Border Crossings
You should have the following identification with you for crossing
the border both into Canada (Canada Customs) and back to the United
States (US Customs): a valid driver's license and your birth certificate.
In
addition, if you have children traveling with you, please be sure to
have parental permission in writing and their birth certificate.
While it is not yet mandatory to have a passport, if you have one, it is recommended
that you bring it, as a current passport makes cross-border travel
into any country less difficult. At this point you do not and
will not NEED a passport to enter Canada. Beginning June 1,
2009, current US law specifies that you will require a passport to
RE-ENTER the United States. (This means that you many readily
enter Canada with the above recommended ID, but you will not be
allowed re-entry into the US without a passport.)
If you have concerns about your legal ability to
cross the border, we recommend you visit Canada's tourism web site at
www.canadawelcomesyou.net,
or call us for assistance. Further, for information about
crossing the border back into the United States, please visit the US
Department of Homeland Security's US Customs and Border Protection
web site at www.cbp.gov.
